The Managing Director of Dromoland Castle is confident another successful hosting of the Women’s Irish Open will pave the way for further showpiece tournaments at the venue.
The event will make its eagerly anticipated return to the Mid Clare fairway for the second year in a row tomorrow, following a ten-year hiatus from the Ladies European Calendar.
The Solheim Cup, meanwhile, which is the biennial competition between the women of Team Europe and Team USA, has not been held in Ireland since 2011.
Dromoland Castle Managing Director Mark Nolan says the growing reputation of the course has caught the eye of organisers.
