Parents are being reminded to always watch their children while they’re in the water this weekend.

Now that children are back to school, this warm weekend may be many families’ last chance to get to the beach this year.

Temperatures at expected to reach 28 degreees but the RNLI is urging people to avoid extended stays in the colder water as your muscles will cool, making swimming more difficult.

Kilrush RNLI Volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer, Charlie Glynn, says parents must remain vigilant to keep their children safe in the water.
