A meeting will take place for the former staff of Iceland, Shannon this morning to address concerns over unsettled pay and redundancy entitlements.
The prominent supermarket located in the Sky Court Shopping Centre, was one of the final Irish outlets to close on Thursday after parent company Metron LTD entered liquidation.
Employees learned of the closure after spotting a written notice on the shop front, while the Independent Workers Union claim no formal correspondence was made.
Clare Fianna Fail TD Cathal Crowe, who will be hosting the meeting in Treacy’s Oakwood Hotel at 9.30am says the loyal workforce have been treated dismally.
