MidWest Firm To Create 50 New Jobs With Multi-Million Euro Expansion

Ireland’s largest food service provider is set to deliver a major jobs boost in the MidWest region.

Sysco has announced that 50 new full time positions will be created at its Limerick Distribution and support centre as part of the latest phase of a multi-million euro exapnsion.

The addition will see the headcount at the Newcastle West facility surpass 400.

The career opportunities will span across various departments.

Minister of State Patrick O’Donovan welcomed the announcement during a visit to the facility today,Sysco is a global leader in the food service industry and their commitment to investing in an additional 50 new full-time positions at its Newcastle West facility is a real boost to the region. It is a welcome and positive injection, delivering significant economic benefits and playing a pivotal role in sustaining our local prosperity.

The roles will have a significant positive impact on the local economy, further establishing Sysco as one of the largest employers in the area.”
