Nine Clare Senior Hurlers Receive All Star Nominations

Clare has received nine nominations in this year’s PWC GAA / GPA All Stars.

Of the 45 nomination spots on offer, the banner followed closely behind All Ireland Champions Limerick, who were the dominant force with 14 nominations, while Kilkenny got 8, there were 6 for Galway, Cork have received 4, Tipperary 3 and there’s 1 for Dublin.

Clare’s Goalkeeper Eibhear Quilligan, along with defenders John Conlon, Adam Hogan, Diarmuid Ryan and David McInerney are all up for awards.

Midfielder David Fitzgerald, as well as forwards Tony Kelly, Shane O’Donnell and Mark Rodgers have also received nominations.

Two Clare players are also in the running for Young Hurler of the Year – Mark Rodgers and Adam Hogan.

The ceremony will take place on Friday November 17th.
