The manager of the Banner side hoping to reach a first ever provincial club hurling decider feels the squad are well placed to make that step.

A showdown with Limerick champions Feenagh-Kilmeady awaits in Cusack Park, with the Clare side having beaten Tralee Parnells in their opening round tie.

It is the second year in succession that they will contest the Munster semi-final at the grade, having lost out by a point at this stage 12 months ago.

Manager Liam O’Reilly says they have added to their squad since that game and is hopeful that will make the difference this time around.

Meanwhile Corofin are also hoping to make history as they compete in the Munster intermediate club hurling semi-final.

Limerick champions Dromin-Athlacca are the visitors to North Clare on Sunday, with Broadford’s Ger Hickey managing the Treaty outfit.

Corofin boss Joe Cahill says having the game at home will be a great boost for his side.
