Clare’s Fine Gael Senator claims that the government’s ‘Housing For All’ plan is neglecting rural communities.

The local authority is currently on track to deliver 306 homes under the scheme here by the end of the year.

However a Ministerial Directive from the Department of Housing in August has precluded the construction of any houses along the 115km stretch of the N67, as well as the N68 and N85.

Speaking in the Seanad Ennistymon Fine Gael Senator Martin Conway says greater flexibility is urgently needed.
