Emergency services are at the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on the M18/N18.
The incident involving four vehicles occurred shortly after 12:20 between Junction 4 Cratloemoyle & Junction 5 Cratloe.
Units of the Shannon and Limerick fire brigade, Gardaí and Ambulance service are currently in attendance.
A temporary road closure has since been put in place between Junction 2 Dock Road and Junction 3 Coonagh Northbound.
No injuries have yet been reported and Gardaí are advising motorists to take an alternative route, although local diversions have been put in place.
