The Chief Executive of the HSE has expedited the appointment of a Regional Executive Officer for the new HSE Mid-West Health Region.
Sandra Broderick, who is currently the HSE’s Assistant National Director responsible for services for older people, will officially take up the role next week .
Having qualified as a nurse in the UK, Ms Broderick worked in a variety of patient facing and integrated management roles before returning to Ireland five years ago and taking up her current role.
From Monday, she will assume responsibility for UL Hospitals, HSE Mid-West Community Healthcare and Mid-West Public Health while reporting directly to HSE CEO Bernard Gloster.
