Clare’s Tenancy Enforcement Team amassed over 9,600 call-outs in 2023.

The group, which carries out patrols of local authority housing and traveller sites, received over 800 reports of antisocial behaviour last year.

Clare County Council’s Tenancy Enforcement Team routinely patrols local authority sites, meets with residents and engages with local community representatives on a regular basis.

According to the local authority, the team endeavours to “have a very visible presence to manage and mitigate against complaints of antisocial behaviour”.

In 2023, 834 complaints relating to antisocial behaviour were received with 41 of these coming between November 21st and December 15th.

The team also carried out 669 housing inspections and issued 146 tenancy notifications or warnings.

In addition, the team was required to collect the keys from casual vacancies on 58 occasions.

Over the course of last year, 13 abandonment notices and two repossession orders were issued.

As a result of its work, the Tenancy Enforcement Team carried out upwards of 9,600 call-outs across the entire year.
