The local authority opened it's Westbury Area Office in a leased building in 2006, however that lease is set to expire in March.

In a statement to Clare FM, the council has confirmed that the lease won't be renewed resulting in the office being closed dur to the lack of people using services there.

Excluding motor tax, a total of 400 contacts were made with the office throughout 2015, which amounts to less than 10 a week.
