A major fundraising event will take place this weekend to expand vital cancer support services in the West of the county.
Hundreds of people are expected to descend on Kilkee this Sunday at 12:30 for the 26th installment of the West Clare Cancer Centre Mini-Marathon.
The drop-in service currently provides professional bereavement counselling, complimentary therapies and through prior initiatives has funded the opening of pallative care units in both Ennistymon and Kilrush.
West Clare Cancer Centre Volunteer Donna McGrath says the money raised will make a crucial difference in so many lives.
