Clare will be hoping to build on their winning start to the National Hurling League when they go to Waterford next weekend.
Seadna Morey’s late goal eventually settled a tight contest against Cork in Cusack Park, with 0-13 for man of the match Mark Rogers helping Clare to a 1-25 to 2-19 victory.
Both of Cork’s goals came in the opening half, which saw Clare lead by just the minimum at the break having played with the elements in the first period.
Banner boss Brian Lohan says his players did well to grind out an important victory.
