A North Clare restuarant has been awarded a MICHELIN star.

Marking the 50th anniversary of the The MICHELIN Guide in Great Britain & Ireland, the 2024 restaurant selection has been unveiled during a special ceremony held at The Midland Hotel in Manchester last night.

Doolin-based Homestead Cottage, which is a new addition to the guide, was one of three Irish establishments awarded one star, with the judges saying “its delicious cooking, makes a visit to the rural west coast all the more appealing”.

One MICHELIN Star is awarded to restaurants using top quality ingredients, where dishes with distinct flavours are prepared to a consistently high standard.
