Man Arrested After West Clare Road Crash Leads To Six Being Hospitalised

One person has been arrested following a road crash in West Clare.

Gardaí have now confirmed a total of six people were hospitalised following the two-car collision on the N67 last evening.

Emergency services were alerted around half past six last evening, after two cars collided on the Spanish Point road out of Miltown Malbay, about 500 metres from the town’s square.

A male and female, both in their teens, as well as a woman and three men were injured in the collision.

All six are currently receiving treatment for serious injuries at University Hospital Limerick. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road where the incident occurred remains closed at this time and local diversions are currently in place.

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the collision and investigations are ongoing.
