Cllr James Breen confirmed this week that he won't be running the upcoming General Election. The Kilnamona councillor and former TD had been a speculated entrant into the race, but says he won't look to return to the Dáil after consulting with his family and supporters. Cllr James Breen joined Gavin in studio to discuss his decision. 
Farmers spoke out this week on rural crime There were more than 2,500 preported crimes affecting farm families in the first half of this year, according to the IFA. The group said the figures are based on analysis of CSO data and added that there was a significant issue with the underreporting of rural crime. Gavin spoke to Jer Bergin of the IFA on the matter.
Joan Freeman Founder of Pieta House spoke to Gavin ahead of a special Mass at St Senan's Church, Kilrush, in remembrance of those who have died by suicide. 
Gavin spoke to former Minister Conor Lenin who has written a new biography of Charlie Haughey.
Ahead of a Strut against Cancer event at the Armada Hotel, Gavin was joined in studio by Caroline Keaveney (sister of the late Sharon Campbell) and organiser Tony Cogan from Miltown Malbay.
As Ennis Players launched their annual 'Supper Theatre' event, and a special production of ’Buridan's Ass' by S.R. Plant; Gavin was joined in studio by Joe Varden, Rachael Culligan, Fr Brendan Quinlivan and Arthur Forde. 
Liam Hennessy spoke to Gavin about the issue of sports fitness and training methods.
Following the ratification of the Marriage Act, Orla Howard Deputy Chairperson of the Yes Equality campaign (and Kilrush native) had her marriage to Grainne Courtney recognised under Irish law. Orla told Gavin what that meant to her.
