Passenger numbers are set to take off at Shannon Airport this June Bank Holiday weekend.

Over 52,000 people are expected to travel through the county’s airport this coming weekend, a rise of 8% on the same period in 2023.

It’s anticipated to be the busiest weekend of the year to date, as the summer holiday period gets into full swing.

In a statement to Clare FM, CEO of the Shannon Airport Group, Mary Considine says passengers will be flying to Shannon from all parts of Ireland, while there’s also a steady rise in tourists arriving to explore the Wild Atlantic Way.
