Seven candidates from the Shannon Local Electoral Area take part in the second of two debates focusing on the municipal district this morning.
One sitting councillor and six hopefuls will be discussing the issues of Shannon Town development and South East Clare’s forgotten villages and townlands, in the hope of securing one of seven seats in the municipal district.
Two candidates indicated they were unable to attend the debates.
Recorded in the Council Chamber at Áras Contae an Cháir, the debates will air on Clare FM’s Morning Focus from 9am, with candidates setting out their stalls ahead of polling day on Friday.
The remaining candidates in the Killaloe area will take part in the final debate tomorrow.
