A new fleet of high powered electric vehicle chargers could soon be coming to Clare.
Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan has announced this week that 131 recharging points will be built across the country by the end of 2025 under a new government scheme.
The charging points will be located within 17 different charging pools nationwide and one of these pools has been earmarked for the Ennis Plaza on Junction 12 of the M18.
it’s understood the charging pool would be located at the proposed site of Supermac’s owner Pat McDonagh’s planned motorway plaza, which is currently held up by a judicial review.
