A portion of the road between Ennistymon and Ballymacraven will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
Road works will be carried out on the R481 from Thursday morning to Friday evening which will result in the closure of a 980m section of the road from its junction with the N67 to its junction with the L5184.
Motorists are advised to use an alternative route.
