Forest parks in Clare are set to benefit from a significant funding boost announced today.
The Department of Rural and Community Development has allocated €3m for the enhancement of forest park visitor experiences nationwide.
Kilrush Recreation Forest will receive €75,000 for trail surface improvements and water management.
Over €64,500 has been allocated for maintenance works at Ballycuggaran, Cahermurphy, Cratloe, Doon, East Clare Way, Gragan’s Wood, Kilrush and Moutainpark.
The funds will aim to combat dangerous trees, carpark maintenance and improve safety on biking and walking trails.
