It’s claimed the redevelopment of an East Clare courthouse would revitalise the town.
It comes as Clare County Council has opened consultation on plans for the renovation of the Old Killaloe Courthouse – with the public invited to visit the courthouse on Wednesday from 2-4pm or on Thursday from 6-8pm to share their views.
A feasibility study was conducted as part of the Killaloe-Ballina Town Enhancement and Mobility Strategy which identified the necessity to renovate the building with the aim of increasing visitors to the town.
Senior Planner and Killaloe Municipal District Co-ordinator, Brian McCarthy, says there is great potential for what the building can be used for.
