Whitegate have caused the first big shock of the 2017 Clare Senior Hurling Championship.
The east Clare outfit hit a last minute goal to beat 2014 champions Cratloe by 4-9 to 0-20.

It sees them through to the winners round and safe from the relegation battle.
Elsewhere Inagh/Kilnamona came through a tough test to beat Crusheen by 2-12 to 2-10.
Clonlara got the better of Feakle winning by 2-16 to 0-16, while Sixmilebridge were comfortable 3-25 to 1-11 winners over Clarecastle.
In the intermediate championship, Scariff beat Tubber 3-10 to 0-15 while Corofin beat Killanena 0-15 to 0-7.
