Clare’s Dog Warden has issued an urgent warning to owners over their public safety obligations following a serious attack in the county last week.

A woman in Quin was left traumatised after being set upon by two dogs and was later brought to Ennis General Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Both of the dogs, which were described as “extremely dangerous” were subsequently surrendered and their owner issued with two €300 fines.

County Dog Warden Frankie Coote says it was a very distressing ordeal.
