A Quin man who has travelled to Siberia in a bid to ride his motorcycle over a 700km-long frozen lake will have to return there next year in order to complete his odyssey.
Declan McEvoy is in Russia at the moment, and had initially planned to ride solo across the massive Lake Baikal (BIKE-AL).

However, after encountering issues with customs as he tried to bring his specially adapted bike into the country, he’s been forced to re-think his plans and will instead ride the lake as part of an international group next year.
He’s using his current trip to learn about the unusual riding conditions, and told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that riding on a frozen lake is a complicated task.
