It’s hoped a five million euro development in Shannon, which will see the Free Zone become a testing ground for self-driving vehicles, will entice other companies to invest in the region.
As part of the Future Mobility Campus Ireland project, the existing roads network will be retrofitted with a host of technologies and a local control centre will be built, to facilitate the testing of Autonomous and Connected Vehicles.

The facility will be used by Jaguar Land Rover, and other companies based in Ireland and abroad.
