18 teams will compete in the 2022 Clare senior hurling championship.
It’s after a motion not to relegate any team from this years championship was narrowly backed by delegates by 18 votes to 16 at last nights county board meeting.

It means that Crusheen and Clarecastle retain their senior status after this years relegation process was deemed null and void by the Munster Council.
Two teams will now be relegated for the next two years in order to reduce the championship to 16 clubs by 2024.
