Two Defeats On The Bounce For Clare Ladies In National Football League

Ladies National Football League: Kildare 0-09 – Clare 0-07 

The Clare ladies footballers have suffered their second defeat in succession after falling to a late Kildare surge in division three of the Lidl Ladies National Football League.

Clare led for the majority of the contest against the Lilywhites in Cooraclare with four points from Chloe Moloney and a sole effort from Amy Sexton seeing The Banner lead by 0-05 to 0-04 at the interval.

However Kildare would hit a purple patch in the final quarter with Roisín Byrne and Neasa Dooley firing over five points between them, while the Leinster outfit limited Clare to solitary scores from Fidelma Marrina and Eimear Keane.

As it finished in Cooraclare on a final score of Kildare 0-09 to Clare 0-07.

Wayne Freeman’s charges will be hoping to revert to winning ways when they make the trip to Longford on Sunday, February 19th.
