House Prices In Clare Fall Between March And June

House prices in Clare have fallen by 3 per cent in the second quarter of the year.

The latest Daft.ie report, which has just been published, shows the cost of a home in the county stood at at 234,000 euro between March and June, 24 per cent below the Celtic Tiger peak.

During the same period last year, house prices in Clare jumped by 14%.

 

Nationally prices are 0.5 percent cheaper than last year, the first time in three years that house prices have fallen, while the number of homes for sale is up by five percent.

Economist at Trinity College and author of the report Ronan Lyons says we’re seeing something of a seesaw effect.
