It’s claimed Clare’s high residential vacany rate is an indication of favourable conditions for first time buyers.
GeoDirectory’s latest residential report which has just been published shows that Clare recorded a vacancy rate of 5.6%, marginally above the national average of 3.9%.

Of the 1,065 residential property transactions recorded in the county in the last twelve months to May 2023 6.9% of these were new builds.
Geo Directory CEO, Dara Keogh has been telling Clare FM’s Daragh Dolan that the increased availability of new properties will have a cooling effect on market prices.
