Clare ladies football manager Wayne Freeman says he’s proud of his players efforts despite their All Ireland final loss.
Late goals from Fidelma Marrinan and Chloe Moloney set up a grandstand finish, but Kildare held on to secure a 2-11 to 2-10 victory in Croke Park.
Kildare led by seven points at the half time break, with both of the Lilywhites goals coming in the opening period.
