Clare Breast Cancer Survivor Reminds Women Early Detection Can Save Your Life

A Newmarket-on-Fergus breast cancer survivor is reminding women in Clare that early detection can save your life.

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and studies show one in nine women will be diagnosed at some point in their life while 23% of those diagnosed are between the ages of 20 and 50.

Later this month, the 3for3 Charity will be hosting its annual walk of Limerick City’s Three Bridges to raise money for the Symptomatic Breast Unit at University Hospital Limerick.

Newmarket resident Ciara Jones, who was diagnosed with breast cancer and the same day she found out she was pregnant, says an early diagnosis is crucial.
