96 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital – INMO

Nurses say the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has shot up once again.

The latest figures from the INMO show there were 96 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, 39 of those on trolleys in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is eighteen more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.

Overall, 546 admitted patients were on trolleys at hospitals across the country this morning, 14 of those under the age of 16.
