A Clare TD is calling on the Minister for Health to publicly declare whether he has confidence in the management of the UL Hospitals Group.
ULHG has faced intense scrutiny in recent weeks, after an external system analysis review identified serious failings in the care provided to Shannon teenager Aoife Johnston, who passed away after spending twelve hours on a trolley at the Emergency Department in December of 2022.
In its most recent visits to UHL, HIQA has also noted that patient privacy and dignity continues to be impacted by overcrowding.
