Boeing Finalises Guilty Plea Deal After Fatal 737 Max Crash

Boeing has finalised a guilty plea to a criminal fraud conspiracy charge and agreed to pay a massive fine of $243.6 million after breaching a deferred prosecution agreement with the US Justice Department over two fatal crashes involving its Max 737 aircraft, one of which claimed the life of Lahinch native Micheál ‘Mick’ Ryan.

He was killed when the Boeing 737 Max Aircraft he was travelling on from Addis Ababa to Nairobi on the 10th of March, 2019 crashed minutes after take-off, killing all 157 people on board.
