UHL More Overcrowded Than 9 Eastern Hospitals Combined Today

The level of overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick is greater than that of every single eastern facility combined today.

According to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, 127 admitted patients were recorded on trolleys at UHL during this morning’s rounds.

The figure is more than double that of the next busiest facility in the country, Cork University Hospital were 57 patients are without a bed.

While the combined number of patients at Beamount, Blanchardstown, the Mater, Nass, St.James’, St.Vincent’s, Tallagh, Navan and Drogheda is still one fewer than the total on trolley’s at the MidWest region’s main hospital today.
