It’s claimed the people of Miltown have been “sold a disaster” due to persistent water outages affecting homes and businesses in the region.
It’s after a burst main led to supply disruptions in the Coore, Quilty, Mullagh,Miltown Malbay, Spanish Point and Cooraclare areas for the second time in the space of a month.

The West Clare Municipal District has since requested a meeting with Senior Management in Uisce Eireann and Clare’s Oireachtas members with a view to securing capital funding to upgrade the 50-year-old pipeline serving the network.
Local Fianna Fáil Councillor Shane Talty says the situation is completely unacceptable.
