Clare MEP Claims Israel’s “Creating A New Army” By Attacking Gaza And Lebanon

A Clare MEP claims all Israel is achieving in its ongoing onslaught on Gaza and Lebanon is “creating a new army” that it will have to fight in the future.

It comes as the country’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on UN peacekeepers to withdraw from combat areas in the Middle East.

At least four civilians have been killed and dozens are injured after an Israeli air strike on a tent encampment housing displaced Palestinians on the grounds of a hospital in Central Gaza.

As Israel continues to divide its focus between Gaza and Lebanon, the Israeli Energy Minister Eli Cohen has accused UNIFIL peacekeepers in South Lebanon of being a “useless” force, and has also called for them to withdraw.
