A programme of events in Ennistymon this weekend will gives attendees the chance to get up close and personal with the Irish harp.
Organised by Harp Ireland and funded by Creative Ireland and the Clare Arts Office, the Harp Day 2024 celebration in Ennistymon will take place in various locations around the North Clare market town this coming Saturday the 19th of October.
The programme will kick off with a yoga class accompanied by harp and pedal steel guitar at 10am in the Falls Hotel, followed by a talk on the early Irish harp in the Ennistymon Library, a “Try The Harp” event in the Falls, and an evening conert in the Courthouse Gallery.
Event organiser, harpist and Ennistymon resident Aisling Lyons says the harp has never enjoyed such popularity.
