The closure of longstanding car dealership Tom Hogan Motors had highlighted the urgent need for a taskforce in Ennis to protect and promote local business and employment.
The Group went into voluntary liquidation yesterday due to trading difficulties with the loss of over 150 jobs at its premises in Ennis, Shannon, Galway City and Tipperary.
Long time Ennis Councillor Peter Considine says the news has left locals deeply shocked and upset but that action is needed now to ensure other businesses don’t suffer the same fate
