The annual Merriman Summer School comes to a close this afternoon in Ennis.
The week long event, which included lectures and seminars on the Economy, the upcoming Lisbon Treaty, and the future of Catholicism in Ireland, was attended by hugh crowds at various locations across the town.
Some of the highlights included a lecture by Proffessor Tom Collins of NUI Maynooth who spoke about the challenges to education in the current economic climate aswell as a seminar on the future of the media.
