Overcrowding at Limerick hospital causing concern

Chronic overcrowding at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital has been described as scandalous.

INO figures show that over 30 patients were waitying on trollies and chairs to be admitted through A&E at Dooradoyle every day in the last week..with smaller numbers left waiting in Ennis.

Labour’s Health Spokesperson Jan O’Sullivan has said that the hospital in Limerick  is in permanent crisis, and says it’s unacceptable that the HSE can allow this overcrowding to continue.

The Mid West TD  feels that the decision to curtail accident and emergency services in Ennis General has contributed to the problem
