Large numbers of concerned parents and local representatives are expected to take to the streets of Ennis today in protest at the presence of head-shops in the town.
Following an information seminar on the availability of legal highs and alternative drugs substances in Clare, local campaigners and members of the public organised today’s rally, which aims to send out the message that the controversial products are not welcome in Ennis.
The shops in question are breaking no laws, though new legislation is pending as fears grow for the safety of young people using the readily available mood-altering products.
