Raheen Woods National School has achieved state recognition.
The Tuamgraney school which is co-educational and multi denominational is just one of a handful across the county that offer Steiner education.
The educational facility has made some mainstream changes to the curriculum in preperation for state recogniation which means children from Galway, Clare and Tipperary can utilise the school bus service.
It has also ment the lowering of voluntary contributions by parents due to departmental funding
