The Agriculture Minister has indicated that an " outreach service " could be put in place for Clare farmers on a limited basis on mart days in the county.

The Agriculture offices on the Kilrush Road in Ennis closed earlier this year with all services transfered to Limerick as part of government cutbacks.

Speaking on Clare Fm Minister Brendan Smith says he’s aware of the difficulties being experienced by some farmers in accessing the services now and that an outreach scheme is being considered at national level.
