Clare FM has been short-listed for a PPI Radio Award for Best News Story for its handling of last November’s flood crisis, and also for Best News Bulletin for its coverage of a number of stories including the Ennis Visit of Muhammed Ali.
Clare FM also received a short-list nomination for Best Sports Story for coverage of the Under 21 Hurler’s All Ireland Win last year, and is also in the running for Best Local Radio Station 2010.
The PPI National Radio Awards will be presented at a ceremony in Kilkenny next month.
