One of Ireland’s leading film directors has described County Clare as the ideal setting for a future movie blockbuster.

Six times academy award nominee Jim Sheridan who’s brought us some of Ireland’s most iconic films like The Field, My Left Foot and In The Name Of The Father,  was in Ennis last night to launch the Clare Live the Life Tourism DVD in Glór.

Speaking to Clare FM, Mr Sheridan praised the sites and scenery of the county, which he said had "everything for a movie" in terms of location, from small towns with big cities close by to some of the most "dramatic and spiritual settings".

Not disclosing any details of his new film ideas, Jim Sheridan said it’s all about finding a story
