The quality of Clare’s water supply has been boosted following the completion of two new water schemes.

Water treatment plants in Tulla and Corofin were officially launched by Clare County Council recently, in addition to upgraded water supplies and storm water infrastructure.

Investment in both projects has totalled 7 million euro, and following years at planning stage, the completed works are  to form part of the overall network for water services in the county.

Hugh McGrath, Senior Executive Engineer with Clare County Council Water Services says the projects are an important part of the county infrastructure and will boost current services.
