A transatlantic jet was forced to divert to Shannon last night after a baby fell ill on board.
It’s reported the 13 month old suffered a number of seizures on the flight from Boston to London Heathrow and the captain contacted air traffic controllers to advise them of the emergency.
Medical services were on standby when the British Airways plane landed last night and the baby was treated at Limerick Regional Hospital.
