Clare’s election candidates have been asked to commit to a plan which, if elected, would see them give twice yearly briefings to members of Clare County Council on issues important to the county.
The Mayor of Clare has sent a letter to each of the candidates calling on them to sign up to the initiative which would see them attend meetings at Aras Contae an Chlair to update members on progress made on the implementation of key concerns to the county.
Christy Curtin says he also intends to meet with the successful election candidates following the election.
He thinks such a scheme would be of great benefit to the people of Clare.
